Duration: 3 Hours
Why: Installation of new network firewall

In our continued effort to increase our level of service and combat attacks on our servers and clients domains we will be installing a new dedicated firewall to offload some of the work load from our routers. We expect to complete the work well within the 3 hours but the work may take place at anytime within the scheduled maintenance window. We apologize for the short notice but we feel this is a critical issue that warrants immediate action.

When you say Duration: 3 hours, does it means that there will be downtime within this period?

We are only expecting 30 minutes at most.

Does this have to do with all the recent hackings in the javascript injections I had on my shared environment?

Are we officially now saying it wasn't our sites' faults?

No, this is more preventative than anything else. We can block anyone we see doing anything malicious such as mass FTP, uploading malicious code etc.

My customers and my mail domain aliases are not working. Did the firewall change have anything to do wiith that. From the delivery receipt it appears the messages were delivered to the mail server (mail7.hsphere.cc) but never appears in the inbox.

They are only installing a firewall to help prevent infection, this will do nothing to assist cleaning up an already infected site sunbeltstudios, you will still need to conduct this cleanup manually using the procedures published.
