In 2005, I bought a Reseller hosting package and few domains from the above site, which was owned by a person named Ramanan, which was originally hosted here at Vortech hosting. From since then I didn't have any problems with them, I made payments on time and they were supportive too, they managed my domains and the sites.

But since last 3-4 months I have lost contact with the owner of Webterminals.net and the hosting account my sites are hosted is suspended and the Webterminals.net site too. And one of my domains is parked for sometime now because it has not yet been renewed by them, because of that I have already lost a lot of traffic I had for this domain.

So, I was wondering whether it is possible for Vortech hosting to check what's happening on Webterminal's end. Like whether they won't renew their accounts anymore. I also have another account of my own here at Vortech hosting, I hope Vortech hosting could support me.

Typing webterminals.net at http://www.domainwhitepages.com/ show an address in Sri Lanka, with a phone number.

Enter your domain name there as well to find out who owns the domain. Document (dates, times, substance) your attempts to contact them and any agreements/bills you may have received from them.
You can file a claim with Icann to attempt to regain control of the domain name, but without your name listed as one of the three contacts, it'll be an uphill battle.

Expired domains are usually snatched by domain name resellers who will charge you a bunch to recover the name.

Right now whois shows that the domain is owned by some domain parking site. Before that all three whois records had my name and address for the last 4 years. Domain expired just recently, I tried to backorder it thru a popular service, but weirdly domain was not dropped on the day it was told, it was dropped earlier than expected. So could I get if i try my luck with ICANN?

Shan - I am also from Sri Lanka. As far as i know, they have closed the operations and they don't exist any more as a company. Also, the owners have left the country.
