If we go to 28 hours on nt28, the problem will be solved on 28 April.
Maybe i can win the lottery with 28. Just kidding. We all need to be a little more strained (not sure if it is the right word). Come on Vortech push those bytes!!!. |

We are almost done with the restore, last thing is rename 2 folders and it will be done. Not much longer and everything will come right back up.

The server crashed about or around 07:11 PM, but does not really matter. All users will be able to get a month credit that have accounts on that system since it was over 8 hours.
I think I said why the restore was taking so long in my post I made at 09:00 AM. I think that covered most of it. Got to remember we are moving 30+ GB of data that is a LOT of small files, so we have to ether move them as small files or tar them and then untar them on the server. We tried this with on big tar, that did not work out so well, of course we did not find this out until we had moved a 21gb tar file. So we had to retar all the fails a* b* c* d* ect ect and move them over, again moving 21+ gb of data and then having to untar them. Once we fixed the small core switch config that made the moves faster, but still have to tar & untar. Good news is the CP recreated all the sites on the server in record time, faster then I have ever seen. So again we will be looking for ways to speed up the restore of all those little files. We had the box and sites up by 12am, just getting the files there was being a big pain. You would think something as simple as moving files would just work. grr. Had this been unix it would have went a LOT faster, and we have made the first part that use to be slow 100x faster, now time to fix the files moving.

You would think I would learn right. We are most there, the last 2 tars are about done, I thought the tech said they were done, but they should be close since it's just "xyz" I don't think there is a "y" so just x and z.

Oh this is WAY uncool. I just tried reaching my sites by dropping the "www" and my raw ASP code is being displayed as text.
