Site Builder service

I was wondering if there is way to setup site builder on my site to allow potential customers to create their site then be prompted to create an account? In other words I would like to make site builder the main service and more available to the customer.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks, Justin.

You want them to be able to create a site before they sign up?

The only thing I can think of is have a link to allow them to then signup. The new hsphere api should make this easier, but you need to wait till vortech updates, very shortly to that.

You may be able to create a plan with no billing that offers nothing but site builder. In the confirmation email, you'd have a link to "Upgrade my Plan".
You'd also want some mechanism for identifying abandoned sites.

Since I haven't tried that I wouldn't know, but I would check that out thoroughly first. Hsphere has many loopholes on a no billing acct that anybody can signup for. It is possible they could activate other resources and/or run up overages. You would have to tightly lock down disk and transfer, at the least. Also can't remember whether email can be excluded, I think so. I thought there was a demo mode, but haven't used this either.
You have to be aware that vortech WILL hold you responsible for overages. Some people have been slammed badly w/ fraudulent signups and charges.
