Exclamation **H-Sphere 2.4 Patch 1 Upgrade**

**H-Sphere 2.4 Patch 1 Upgrade**

On Monday May 17th at 10:00 A.M. EST we will be upgrading the H-Sphere Control Panel Software from version 2.3.2 to 2.4.1.

This will cause approximately 1 hour of downtime for the Control Panel. Following this upgrade, all Windows machines in the cluster will require a small upgrade and reboot. We will do this to all Windows machines in numerical order. Forum posts will be made throughout the day Monday and updated as each machine is completed.

For a complete list of H-Sphere 2.4 features and additions see:
http://www.psoft.net/HSdocumentation...atures_24.html

For a complete list of patch 1 improvements and bug fixes see:
http://www.psoft.net/HSdocumentation...html#24_patch1

*IMPORTANT*

This will not affect cPanel users, cPanel Resellers, Colocated or Dedicated Server
clients.

The upgrade has been cancelled due to some issues that came up with it over the weekend.

Bummer .. oh well ... keep us posted on the new date, I assume the "issues" were fairly big to have postponed the upgrade?

Yea there are many reports that the windows hsphere.exe is running VERY high on live systems like over a gig in ram. We have not seen this on our test system but of course there is no load ether..

We will keep a close eye this week and see if something changes with Psoft, we will try again for next monday if they can get the issues fixed.

it's quite common now that patches also need patches

which ones were already updated?

None of our Hsphere servers have been patched yet. They are referring to issues with other hosts' Hsphere clusters that have been patched and are now experiencing issues.

Sounds suspiciously like a memory leak then.

I have to agree w/ Brangwyn about the mem leak. Seems like it would be nice to have some scripts or small programs that could actually load test these cp's rather than finding out the hard way.

Well thats kind of why we are waiting. Others have upgraded to 2.4 and they had some issues, so after the upgrade to patch2 we will see if ti goes away.. If so then we should be fine.
