Brad, You've updated your plans/index.php pricing matrix but the matrix home page still has the old nuumbers on the left side.
sounds like a good move, I think.

Absolutely GREAT! Christmas came early!!
Mr Pugh, You have, in one shot, eliminated every major complaint I ever had about your company policies on allocation and package positioning. I have always been pretty happy hosting my accounts with you, but the disk space and allocation policy made it so much more difficult to build Plans that met the needs of my customers and me. Despite that, I recommended you to at least three associates, two of which now host with you. With this move, you make me look good to those guys and you vastly increase your market position in relation to your competition. As a result, it is my opinion that Matrix now is the unbeatable deal in reseller hosting, is properly marketed and positioned, and I will absolutely promote you and your company whenever and wherever I can. Good Luck to you... An even MORE loyal customer. Tim Oh... and side note to Craig.... 45 minutes on the phone from Costa Rica discussing exactly this stuff and not a WORD???? LOL... You could have at least told me SOMETHING excellent was a brewin'! So now I guess it's dinner for you AND Brad if you ever get here. |

Looks like good stuff!
Can I ask? Does this now mean that because it is summary disk usage that the "summary" includes, web, database, and mail disk usage? So where we were not charged for mail usage before we are now, but becasue this is based on actuall usage, we should see greater flexability in our own pricing plans? Further, Can we now also use summary disk usage in our own control panels as resellers? That way we can do the same for our customers as what you have done for us! Thanks for the feedback. Of course with the GOOD comes the bad
![]() Brad's email seems to have caused quite a ruckus! Just tried to login to my main admin and 6 minutes later I was allowed to enter. Seems Brad created a mini DOS attack on his own server as everyone wants to see what their account looks like ![]() Mine looks pretty interesting though the Reseller area is a bit weird and the barometer shows up funny. The last post by thecomputerpro mentions summary disk usage which is NOWHERE mentioned in Brads press release. Just verify this for me? We are NOT going to summary disk usage... right?????? |

It is summary disk usage, its the only usage type thing H-Sphere offers..
No you should not have to do any thing to switch it over it should already be done for every one. With summary disk usage it just means you can over sell some space ( just don't make your self lose money ), make your plans a little bigger, now mail, web, sql and all is just put in to one big number and you can use it any way you want and is just based on what you use, not what you give out.

You may need to reset your disk quota actually, I noticed one of my accounts showed no quota and the other showed half of what it should be, just click on the icon and set it as per the space notified in Brads announcement above depending on which plan you have.

You guys outdid yourselfs!
I just had the problem with SQL quota a month ago I didn't know I have to set the usage to something other than what the default in there was... can't you look into refunding it? Thanks! ark Last edited by ark2000 : 11-28-2003 at 11:38 PM. |
