Sub Domain pointing to main domain

I have what may be a dumb question. But it is 7:28 AM and I have not had my coffee yet

In Hsphere, can I setup a sub domain (ww1.mydomain.com) to actually be pointing to my main domain (www.mydomain.com)?
I am not looking for a redirect. When someone 'surfs' the site, they keep the prefix they started with.

You could just use an alias on mydomain.com of ww1.mydomain.com and that should do the job I think, easy enough to test it anyway.

whoa wait, you got a subdomain named ww1 to work? I haven't beena ble to get les than 5 char subdomains for some reason.

Actually, I tried a longer subdomain...6+ characters.

ok, just wondering, because short sub never worked for me in the past.
