Is anyone running the newest version? If so, how hard was it to install and how stable is it? Is this something that Matrix is planning on upgrading to in the near future or is this something that we will have to install on our own each time there is a new upgrade? I want to switch to the newer version because my board keeps getting hacked and I think that is scaring what few posters I had away. I dont know anything about php though so Im just wondering if this is something that is hard to do for a beginner. I would greatly appreciate any feedback from those who have upgraded and those familiar with the new version.

Its a pretty easy upgrade actually, I just did it for a friend who wasn't too keen on doing it herself. There is adequate documentation in the upgrade zip.

Basically you backup your config.php file, then overwrite your existing files with the correct files from the downloaded patch update from phpbb, theres a separate zip file for going from each earlier version of php to the newest.

Then just copy your config.php back over to the board, run the installer and your good to go.
