Vortech Inc. EMERGENCY NON-INTERRUPTIVE SERVICE WINDOW

WHEN:
Thursday (9/22/05) 10:00P-11:00P Eastern

WHAT:
As a result of the unfortunate UPS issue of one of our 3 UPSes yesterday (9/21/05) we are responding by decommissioning that UPS and transferring the load to a brand new PowerWare 9390 120KVA UPS we've been burning in and testing the last 3-4 weeks. The load transfer should be NON SERVICE INTERRUPTIVE and result in an undetectable transfer to the new UPS without any required downtime.

Upon completion of the service window we will follow up with a post service window e-mail notification similar to this one. We appreciate your patronage and apologize for any inconvenience and if you have any specific concerns or questions please don't hesitate to either e-mail us directly at support@vortechhosting.com or call our 24x7x265 emergency technical support hotline at 407-323-5634. I don't mean to interrupt again, but are are you saying your uninterruptable power supply is going to be interrupted during a non-interruptive service window...?

It was uninterruptable until it made us mad yesterday.

So we will interrupt the uninterruptable UPS to put a bigger and better uninterruptable UPS in it's place.

Nothing should be interrupted if all goes like it should. It's more of a flip of a switch to take us from one UPS to the new one.

Yea nothing every seems to like it "should" but I can hope right. We and the datacenter have made all the plans we can for the switch over. We have done everything we can for the switch so we just hope it does as it should.

If smoke starts coming out the server I might just kill someone. lol
