I'm still getting 25-50% package loss, the traceroute however, shows a quite different route:

I'm having the same trouble a lot of other people are reporting. ALL of my sites are unbelievably slow to load. And, all of Vortech's sites are slow, too. (It's taken me about 6 minutes, so far to open this thread, log into the forum, and get to be able to post this reply...) My mail server seems fine, though - Firefox is connecting quickly and receiving a "No New Mail" response in normal time.
There's definitely something up. I'm not going to send a trouble ticket at this point because I'd rather have people fixing the problem over responding to my report. (And, accessing the trouble ticket server is just as slow as this forum and my sites right now). |

Hello,
The control panel needed to be restarted. That should be working fine at the moment. As for your sites not showing, this goes for anyone, Submit a ticket please. |

It is slow loading for me and times out when I try to login. I have also had 500 and DNS errors which could have been from trying to login while restarting I guess. |

Still an issue with my sites after many many many hours - is there a "return to previous" feature for all but one of the servers, until it is tested working well?

tracert
Any chance of getting "vortechhosting.com [216.81.79.9]" out of the traceroute? IIRC, previously this was RapidColo or something more anonymous than Vortech. Would be really nice to have this changed back...

Hello,
The name in the traceroute will disapear. It hasnt updated yet, But when DNS gets pushed through it will have changed. I am a little behind on tickets, But They are getting pushed out as fast as I cna get to them./ I think most all of the routing issues have been resolved now that cogents routing tables is fully updated. We has some interesting routing loops going on there for a while and there was a maximum packet size issue that was playing havock with FTP. Seams to all be resolved now though. |

My sites all seem better now, too. Not sure if it was just patience or if you guys did something. Either way, thank you!

It took a deal of time to work out the new BGP settings and get everything working correctly. Then the bgp table had to be loaded (170 thousand route entired per peer, 3 full peers)
Is it working good for everybody at the moment? |
