Server is currently FSCKing. Harddrive had some errors and mysql service crashed.

This was not planned.

2 large disk errors found so far. They were repaired.

FSCK is still running.

Still going. It seams to be fixing everything but it is finding a lot fo errors.

This box will probably have the HD replaced in the near future.

so how long does it take ? i can't open any forum that run on this mysql can you fix it as fast as possible please

Explains why I've just received 306 error emails from my VB Forum - no worries I'm sure it wil lback on line very soon (time for another brew ).

FSCK is going as fast as it can. There are quite a few errors on this drive.

It seams to be approaching the end of the drive.

Sorry for my question but our developer is missing for vacation and i do not know...Except our sites that are down for some time, would there be any other problem (missing files, damaged database etc..)?

Hello all,
I am attempting to start MySQL up in a few minutes. This is NOT a final solution. This should just get all of your sites back up on a temp basis till we can replace the drives.. etc.

Wow! You mean your servers are not using RAID? That's a pretty big mistake and brings a lot of downtime.

ok DBs are up...

I have moved them to a partition on the OS drive. This is to ge the sites up untill we have finished getting the rest of the HDS replaced.

Please help me cause my developer is not here and our website is a e-shop. All are now like 4 days ago!!! All new products and orders are gone....what must i do???
