Auto Responders.

It has come to our attention that AutoResponders are not currently working in the Hsphere control panel.

This is due to an update during the control panel upgrade.

As many of you know, Our mail servers are not the default design that Hsphere comes with. These custom servers are a good deal more reliable and faster. One issue with this is that when Psoft rewrites the interface between the control panel and the mail servers we have to change the scripts that we use to allow the two to interact.
During this last control panel update they did this. It was undocumented and because of this we were not expecting it occur. We are now working to rewrite these scripts. It appears to only effect auto-responders so far.

We should have this issue resolved within a few days.

It seams to only effect newly created ones.

We are planning the (apparently major) undertaking or patching this on Tuesday Night.

That is to say that we are going to attempt to solve the issue then. It appears that is will just be a single new script that will have to be writen. But that is a preliminary diagnosis.

I've looked into the issue and there are some unknowns. Files are being written, not sure about ALL of them. On the mail server, a file is created and is named .qmail-<name before @>. In that file, the first line is something like |/hsphere/shared/bin/autoresponder... . I've tried running the command manually and it segfaults. Again, not sure why as it might be "broken" or I'm just not doing something right. There is a missing binary that goes by make_message and it is that binary that we don't quite know what it does. I've googled for it to see if I could just download it instead of having to install h-sphere's preferred mail server and couldn't find ANYTHING. That about summarizes my findings ATM. I tell ya', I cracked at this thing for hours yesterday and just hit a bunch of dead ends. I can't believe something that seems so simple is being such a PITA.
