Few Questions
Hello, I am thinking about opening a new account.
My purpose is to sell private label hosting solutions, and would like to confirm that what I want to do is actually possible. 1. Open a Cypher plan (windows) and host 1-60 low usage websites. 2. Each website would have its own domain name 3. Each website would not need a control panel, but some may. 4. Is there a utility that would allow me to bill each website? How would payments be forwarded to my account? 5. I see that I can create unlimited domains, but there is a limitation of 5 IP addresses. What does that mean? 6. Can I upgrade to another plan if needed? 7. Can I setup directory permissions on each website? For example: most of the websites will need that the ASPNET user have write access to the root virtual folder. If not possible to do it by myself, how long would it take to set that up? 8. One of my concerns is speed. I get a ping of 200ms on www.matrixreseller.com are hosted plans similar in performance? Thank you in advance, Andreas. |

if i'm not wrong each account you can set to unlimited domain just each account have own bill with hsphere control panel each end user account have their own billing statement can view themself , for payment you can use third party company such as paypal , 2co , worldpay , e-onlinedata ... etc . yeah you can host unlimited domain vortech never limit your domain , for 5 ip address is dedicate ip that case it work with anonynous ( maybe spell wrong ) ftp for windows plan ( window can't have more than one FTP account ) or if i'm not wrong that ip using with coldfusion plan . Quote:

You don't have aspnet access from the root of the drive, but you can submitt a trouble ticket to get access to the root of your virtual folder. It's fast - last one I did was done about 3 min after submitting a ticket at 2:00 AM.
Pings on my service domain were 42ms a few minutes ago - from NE US. Think of a control panel as an account with billing. You can set up various plans that allow some number of domains per account. You'll eat up 3 control panels as overhead - one for your main account - the one vortech bills you against. One for your service domain - the one you use to admin your customers. And one for your personal domains. For each new control panel over your plan limit, there's a 1 time fee of $4 but no limits on the number of control panels ( = number of customers). If the number of control panels you have drops below your plan limit, you don't get your $4 back. A control panel also equates to an ftp login. Windows plans don't allow sub-ftp accounts so your users only get ftp with a control panel. Not an issue with Unix plans which do allow sub-ftp. The only thing I would add to cambodia's comments is that you'd also need a static ip to install an ssl cert. IP's over your limit are $1/month. Vortech follows net governing body recommendations and is conservative about issuing static ip's so you need a valid reason to use one regardless of what your plan limit is.

Question
Forgive me if I am over looking something...
DP you say that control panels are limited and cost $4 for each additional one? On the plan comparisons I cannot seem to see where the Control Panel limits are listed for each plan. What additional costs (on the $30 Cypher plan) am I likely to incure for a setup similar to that which "baycom" described? Thanks in advance for any help. |

The easiest way to look at the $4 domain fee, is each account you add to hsphere will cost you $4. However depending on the plan you get, you'll get x number of free accounts, the rest you have to pay $4 to add them.
you can get a plan comparison here http://www.matrixreseller.com/plans/ |
