mysql Issue

Hsphere installs the mysql server with max connections set to 200. I think this was the problem. I have changed it to 400. Lets start the testing over and see what happens now.

That will be a big help, I've one forum community presently maxing at 288.

Ok I have changed mysql settings to this.

[mysqld]
set-variable=max_connections=1000
set-variable = interactive_timeout=3600
set-variable = wait_timeout=3600

in the .my.cnf

If anyone ele has any sugestions let me know

Can't see anyone needing better than that
Just checked my forums and they rock! HUGE difference..... (I might even be tempted to play with os commerce myself now )

For the record I am now getting sub 2-second response times on most pages. Quite an improvement from the 55 seconds it was taking a couple hours ago. No wonder you were not getting any orders. May the rest of the holiday shopping season be good to you!
