Not surprising really, its a great little gadget, I use it for storing extra photos on when I'm out for the day nice to know you've always got an extra 15GB of space you can offload photos too without lugging around a laptop with you all day .. handy when taking photos in RAW mode as the 16MB a photo soon adds up real quick

The built in battery is a little annoying tho. The new gameboy advance went to that design. Not a fan of built in batteries.

I had no idea you could do that. How do you transfer the files to it? I just assumed there was only a USB connect method for the ipod.

I'll bet the iPod still works

The iPod functions as an external hard drive so you can transfer any type of data to it. Many Mac users use it to back up their boot disk. During production of Lord of the Rings many of the scenes were transfered from a Broadband connected Mac to an iPod and then hand carried to the editing studio which did not have a broadband connection.

Oh and it plays music too

Belkin make a neat little external card reader which plugs into the iPod and will read CF Cards, memory sticks etc and transfer them to the iPod.

Whilst yes its a built in battery, it is user replaceable (if your willing to risk a few scratches on your case) at a considerably cheaper price than Apple charge you to do it.
