Transfer of domain

I need to transfer my domain name. I recently purchased another hosting provider (last week) and my domain has just been propogated. My original host registered my domain name but I'm unable to access their site due to unknown downtime. They registered it thru OnlineNIC.

Do I need to go to my current host and give them my new ns or to the original Host. Tech support at current host is terrible and
original host was too costly for what they offered.

This is why I'm switching to Matrix

Please help!

You have to contact with OnlineNIC to change nameservers information for your domain.

First, i would check that the administrative contact of your domain are you. Try a whois for your domain at :

www.internic.com/whois

If your domain is more than 60 days old you can transfer it to us, we use OpenSRS. If this is not something you can do or are interested in doing, then listen to kpcreativos.

For changing the DNS yourself or to transfer to anyone else needs the Admin email to be yours.

If you know the password of the domain manager, you can go to http://www.digidns.com/domainmgr , login with your domain name (xyz.com), password and change your DNS info. (this connects to Onlinenic database) And wait for min. 24hrs for DNS info to propagate.

Or from the Admin email you can send email to support@onlinenic.com giving the new DNS info to be changed.

Or u can activate domain transfer (> 60 days) for that also u need to have hold on admin email.

hope this helps
