submission service provider

Hi
I have a question can a site submission service provider use my site as a promotional examble without my consent?
I'm not their customer, I didn't even know of them till I saw an email they send with one of my sites.
I worked hard promoting this site and some company taking the credit for it or maybe I sould just shut up and let them promot my site for free!
Any ideas?

I'd be contacting them, if someone says they are spamming you could get in trouble, or at least have people look down on your site because of something you never did.

Actually my guess is that its nothing more than a ploy to get you to actually buy their services. I would lay odds that theyve done absolutely zero promotion of your site, they probably send out spam to a mailing list and use the domain name from the email address in the email to try and make you think they've been doing some submissions on your behalf.

Who was the email from ? I've probably got some in my spam folder as well.

I get those emails once a week from TrafficMagnet.com and every time there is a screen shot of the front of my site in the email. I think Brangwyn is right, they use whoever's site it is they are sending the email to.
