Is anyone using DotNetNuke here on Vortech?

Seems like they have good plans, and reviews, and should be able to support DNN. But I hate being the new kid on the block. I've got enough other battles to fight!

I've installed it but it took some tweaking of the sql to use my account id instead of DBO. CFranklin of this vicinity has a dnn installer that's a champ. Handles all the tweaking for you and can install several packages as well.

www.killbuffalo.com is a dnn site hosted on vortech. The customer support reps were nice enough to change the db owner to dbo for me.

Would anyone who has an installation script for DNN mind sharing it with the rest of us? The CFranklin user mentioned above no longer exists... and installing DNN on a Vortech account so far has been a disaster. Not good.

The installer that CFranklin had does not work due to Vortech not supporting the H-Sphere XML API (and the CFranklin username does exist - as i asked him about his installer just last week too).
Make sure it is 3.3 or below that you are installing - i tried to install DNN 4.3 without reading it was ASP.Net 2.0 - and then changed it to 3.3 after support told me about my mistake.

What i did was simply create the database, email support for DBO permissions and then changing the SQL info in the web.config and uploading all the files and then going to the default page worked for me - it should be as simple as that.

The installer is complete and ready for release. Unfortunately, it requires the XML-API which had a security glitch and is no longer available with Vortech. As soon as PSoft get's a patch out and Vortech reinstates the API, I'll release it.

Till then it's a manual install.
