When Psoft gets 2.5.1 out, there is no reason for us to upgrade to 2.5 as you can't swtich from 1.1 to 2.0 from the CP in 2.5.1 you can. I would say maybe 3 months if we are lucky.

Well lets just hope Microsoft did not go and change EVERYTHING like they did from 1.1 to 2.0. I hope we can just jump from 2.0 to 3.0 when it's ready that sure would be nice. But as we all know that will never happen with MS and I am sure Psoft did not plan for 3.0 to be out before they even got 1.1 to 2.0 upgrade ready... What fun..

I just don't understand what is taking psoft so long... .net2.0 and 1.1 seems to coexist peacfully on my local servers. How does this tie in to hsphere etc. I guess I'm just clueless

What prevents 2.0 from running without touching Hsphere? It must be manually turned on? Couldn't you just charge a fee to turn it on?

My understanding was that hsphere can toggle either 1.1 or 2.0 off and on but not both. The one that hsphere doesn't toggle could be set manually but the manual settings would be lost in a system rebuild (or retore ?) and have to be redone.

I really appreciate the realtime updates to this thread with info I may need to react. In the interest of reducing clutter, however, would it be possible/favored to separate announcements into a read-only announcements thread and to keep it separate from an interactive discussion thread?

Maybe vortech can open another READONLY discussion about the scheduled upgrades.
