Thanks all for your input and effort on trying to find these guys... From your expert help, I've added a few tricks to my bag on how to not get taken when buying on line. Actually, when I think of it, its amazing that this is the first time its happened.

Again, thank you all! I'll let you know how it goes trying to track them down.

And Curt, sign me up for a spot on your telethon...

Cheers,
Andy

Don't worry Andy. We all learn from each other's mistakes. I only learned about the BBB check-up idea after my experience with AIT. If we all share the problems we've had, things can only get better for all of us on the whole, right?

Hmmm... Has anyone checked up on Vortech's BBB rating?

Interesting that Kim is the "primary"... Tax purposes Brad?

Primary?? I am listed as the Manager as I am the one that handles any complaints, chargeback disputes, etc. Also, when that information was given to the BBB it was 3 years ago and there was only Brad, Craig and myself working for Vortech, Inc. Owners are not required to be contact persons for the BBB or anyone else.

That would explain a number of things...(chuckle) it would have also been helpful to know prior to me sending you a private message suggesting you check your tone... boy is my face red.

Sorry Ma'am

Angry

I am very sad that I missed this thread from the start.

I have very very bad experience with them too. Why them? They (or just one person) have many sites as I know; for your more info:
XAZ.BIZ (the worst bloody thieves on the web) and they have many more that I know, and don’t know.
As I know they run a bunch of rusty old servers, with many users, resellers on them (they don’t care even if servers go down for DAYS??!).
I had one reseller with xaz.biz (Linux) and one with megawebservers.com (Windows) about a year ago. The servers were all go down and up many times in a month, and they always told lies about it; we have a lose in fiber cable (!), the power goes off, cpu crash, hdd crash : oh yeah and one time I lost all the accounts and their files because of HDD CRASH !#!

They also suddenly give up of doing job, and give away the servers.
The servers were rent from FDCSERVER, and DV2(tranxactglobal.com). I contact the server real owners and beg them to have my files for any price. But both of them told me that the servers have been formatted and it doesn’t contain my files anymore.

I had arranged a charge against them, and I hope to see these guys in jail for all they have done to me and my JOB.

For a point, I can give you that all of servers use a host name for DNS that is: W65.NET
And as you can search for; this host name is alias of: netintwin3.netint.biz

As I lost many many dollars and many customers because of they job, I also be very thankful to have any help or idea.

I have doubts about BBB. Not that it is a bad org. Just that the ridiculous amount of money they charge businesses to be a member makes me skeptical. I don't feel this makes them the most "unbiased" organization. I think the member thing ends up being more of a sales enhancer than anything. Also if your cc company doesn't back you up if you have legitimate documentation that this company didn't honor their claims get a new company. I love AMEX because they actually believe in service. They are not cheap, but they have so much to offer a business from a service standpoint. They are not quite as great in some ways as they used to be...I think since they started moving things overseas, but it has been a moderate change w/ tradeoffs.

I totally agree that the BBB (1) charges too much for you to join and (2) they are not unbiased.

However, I must disagree with how *great* Amex is. If I had my way, we would stop accepting them due to the fact that someone can host with us for 6 months or longer and then go back & get all their money back from Amex. Amex does not allow the merchant to dispute the chargeback. They simply take the money away and that is that. That is not only unfair to the merchant it basically gives everyone that uses an Amex card a license to do whatever they want online and then get their money back. That's just plain wrong, in my opinion.

Well, I can't speak for people's experiences, but the few charges I have had to dispute AMEX asked for proper documentation and the merchant was given an opp to respond...they didn't, but AMEX sent a letter saying how the dispute was being handled. MY experience is that AMEX people in general are more professional, reasonable and spend more. But then I am biased
Personally, I frown on and avoid businesses that don't take AMEX especially in B2B. It is unfortunate that such a scenario would take place tho.
