Brangwyn, can you do this only with the main panel, or can you also use this for the end user panels as well?
Also, what is the xxxxx that follows the 'psoft.hsphere.CP/ ? |

Pretty sure it will work for customer panels too as it's basically how my multi-login script thingamajig works. The xxxxx after the psoft bit I'm pretty sure is the account name, just login normally to a control panel and you should see what it puts in there I think.

I agree with gadgetgal about acct use. I setup a webmastering plan that can use same user for multiple domains, but not same as my higher level user ids. I do this for added security and organization, but mainly you need to have accts under one user if a cp is not needed. If you turn a plan on for signup then just remember to turn it off if you don't want people trying to signup for it.

1) Is there a way of letting a customer service his multiple domains from one console and if so how?
2) Also if I am maintaining the console for a customer what would I do. I am getting from reading this forum. I would sign the customer up for my service plan instead of a regular plan is that correct? Any detailed help on this would be greatly appreciated. Joe |

Usually a customer would have all their domains under one account anyway so only has one CP to deal with.
If you don't want to waste an HSphere Billablae account on a customer who doesn't require CP Access then yes, putting the domains on your service account would be fine. |

One thing to note though is that if say 6 months down the track your client wants to start using their cp, its not very easy to transfer them from your service domain account to one of their own. You basically have to delete the domain from hspere (which will also get rid of the site) and then recreate it (and this also mean waiting for the site to re-propergate)

unless if the nameservers change when you recreate the domain in another cp, luckily the propagation is much shorter because it's all internal. Still something to consider - perhaps doing it late at night is wise.

Or just use some redirects and not worry about propagation
thats what the temporary URL's there for after all, take the redirect off a couple of days after the DNS has updated and most people won't have even noticed. |
