help me! (email trouble)

Hi everyone, I have a very weird thing happening to me. A new customer is having (almost) all his mail bounced back by spamhaus (http://www.spamhaus.org/)

The error message I get is:

<message>
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: test mail
Sent: 10/10/2003 4:39 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'dlacayo@petrotec.co.cr' on 10/10/2003 4:39 PM
451 http://www.spamhaus.org/SBL/sbl.lasso?query=SBL5863
</message>

I did a some research and I haven't been able to determine why this is happening.

Does anyone have a clue on this? It´s very frustrating!!

What makes it worse is that it only happens for some e-mail addresses. Some people have their messages rejected immediately and for others there is no problem.

It means that whereever the message is coming from (through another mail server, from their local machine, etc.) Its blacklisted by spamhaus. This reduces our spam load by a LOT.

If the spamhaus DB weren't down for maintenance I could give you more information. Try the link in a couple hours and it should tell you what along the line is blacklisted.

thank you Bladesnitz,

what really bugs me though is that this happens only for some of the e-mail accounts, and all the people there share the same Internet connection.

Maybe if they are sending through other servers... like if they have outside mail servers besides vortech...
