Can the admin panel be accessed via 8080? I swear I could on the Morpheus Plan but when I cancelled (to change co. name and plan) and signed up for NEO, I can't access admin via 8080. If it's possible, what URL would I use?

Nevermind. Just figured it out, LOL: http://cp.hsphere.cc:8080/. It seems that everytime I finally post a question on the forum, I figure it out or am given the answer 2 seconds later. Maybe I should post a question asking where to find a billion dollars.

I am suffering the same problem. Most of my customers can't access their CP because port 8080 is blocked. Anything new about this case? I found that the demo CP @ psoft.net does'n use the port 8080 http://cp.demo.psoft.net/psoft/servlet/psoft.hsphere.CP Last edited by yasser : 04-24-2004 at 11:01 AM. |

Forgive me. I feel for your situation. However, you can't change the CP port everytime another company has a new policy. They could block anyport, anytime. If you set it up for SSL you should be able to use :8443 port.

Maybe they need a new system admininstrator... there's no reason to block traffic on 8080. 8080 is a commonly used alternative to port 80. If they think this is somehow protecting them, they are misguided.

Agreed...or it is a default setting (from something) they haven't changed. Bottom line is there are some things you can't change and may not be able to work around. |
