to make index.php as default page

Hi guys
i install joomla on window. how do i make the index.php as a default page.
i read http://forum.vortechhosting.com/show...ight=index.php
but i still don't get it
itsays
"I enable the "Directory Indexes" at the bottom of the control panel"
where is "directory indexes", I'm not use to hsphere control panel but start liking it better than cpanel. I'have a lot to learn.

PS: i donot want to use redirect cause i tried than mess up some of the functions on the admin section

Someone should send the developer of the tutorials a larger version of the new Vortech logo though, and I bet they'd redo all the tutorials with the latest logo for free. hint hint.

that is an awesome tutorial. and thank you for the info.
I follow the tutorial and it works.
But till cannot figure out, my mambo and joomla installation on window have error on the admin area ( the pop up preview page missing, t gotta be the "path")
which i donot have this issue on linux.

Hi Silverbug
there is no error message. just cannot find the page.
if you familiar with mambo or joomla. in the admin when you edit the content then you hit preview, the pop up window blank. On my desktop it appear fine.
I check a couple installment on window server, they appear have the same issue.
