Add-on and resource overage payments with 2CO

Hi,

I'm thinking of signing up but have a few question in regards to HSphere working with 2CO.

1. I'm told by 2CO that once a one or recurring profile is created you cannot modify it i.e. add a charge or modify the recurring amount.

This being so what happens when a customer signs up for plan A at $9.95 and then decides to upgrade to plan B at $14.95?

Does the customer have to go through the entire purchase process again?

2. How about when a client exceeds his resource limits and HSphere charges them, how do we get that charge from HSphere to actually post to 2CO?

Does the customer have to go through the entire purchase process again for the add-on amount?

I would appreciate any feedback on these questions and if anyone international is using a good cheap merchant account or 3rd party merchant account that works well with Hsphere that would also be helpful.

Hi there linknode. You shouldn't need to setup any payments directly with 2CO actually. H-Sphere should handle all of that for you. Every time H-Sphere needs to charge someone, it will automatically put through a one-time payment to your payment processor. Once both 2CO and H-Sphere are setup, you should barely ever have to do anything with 2CO.

In a nutshell HSphere does not support recurring payments for 2Checkout, or Paypal Every month the customer has to manually make payment.

Ouch. I knew about PayPal, because that's my primary processor, but I didn't realize that 2CO sufferred from the same drawback. Other processors normally work as I mentioned though, right?

Yeah think it pretty much only applies to those two, Worldpay I think is ok and supports recurring etc. The big issue with 2Co for instance is even if HSphere supported recurring payments I don't think 2Co use the passback for anything other than the first purchase, so you'd have to manually update payments every time the recurring order was made
