Amex has NEVER given us an option to dispute a chargeback. We have even called to ask how we could go about submitting a dispute and they simply told us that we could not. To make a long story short, they informed us that if any of their customers submit a chargeback, the money is taken from the merchant and there is nothing that can be done by the merchant to have the funds returned. That is extremely unfair to any merchant that accepts Amex.
As for Amex customers spending more, I can't really agree with that either. Mostly because they make up maybe 10% of our customers.
