Smile Congratulations New Zealand

Most geeks and non geeks loved LOTR and now it has official recognition from the film making establishment. Tolkien fanactics like myself were worried that a mortal could not do the books justice, but this crew did better than any could have hoped.

I sincerely hope that our New Zealand friends here at Vortech feel proud of the accomplishments of your countrymen and women. Their incredible work is not just that of some film makers, it is a reflection on an entire free society with a forward thinking government and an educational system second to none.

Thank you

as Galadriel said:
“I Amar prestar aen: han mathon ne nen, han mathon ne chae, a han noston ne’ wilith.”

“The World has changed: I feel it in the water, I feel it in the earth, and I smell it in the air.”

Well I think most of Wellington was thanked anyway

Over 23,000 people worked on the films over the 7-8 years it took to create them. I'm sure there were some big parties going on in Wellytown last night ... Pity I'm actually in Melbourne at the moment heh.

Amazing stuff really.... I can't wait for the Extended, Extended DVD Version

Elijah Wood was actually the King of Bacchus (parade) this year in New Orleans, and the girls were going nutz!! He actually nailed my friend's wife right across the bridge of the nose with a set of beads sporting a rather heavy pendant, and drew blood. Ahhhhhhhhhh, the memories........

Yeah, F1 is in Melbourne this weekend! I watched part of the practice last night until I fell asleep at Midnight. Ferrari is tearing it up - but wow, Renault is right up there with 'em.

lol .. my bill was double this month already for some reason Brad .. hope your not going to double it again !!! ... yeah I'm in Melbourne getting my yearly dose of F1 fun ... missing you all ... NOT hehehe.

Ferrari are looking very hot right out of the blocks this year something I think most teams weren't actually expecting .. they've already knocked close to THREE seconds off last years qualifying time with the other teams still 0.5+ seconds behind. Go Ferarri
