Incorrect Information

http://www.vortechhosting.com/hosting/windows/

Look @ the above url and scroll down to access features: "Unlimited FTP Accounts"

This is wrong isnt it? Windows accounts cannot have unlimited ftp accounts, I have now got 2 people who signed up with us and are extremely annoyed now.

I copied the information from the vortech page (assuming it was correct), did you guys really overlook this or am I missing something, because that is *extremely* unprofessional in my opinion.

I also just noticed on the same page you say "Personalized Nameservers" this surely means you can have ns01.yourdomain.com ? I thought according to Brangwyn this wanst possible??

Actually its correct if read in the context it was intended, resellers do indeed get their own personalised nameservers, that doesn't neccesarily imply that customers of the reseller get them too.

Unlimited FTP Accounts, well that one could be missleading I guess.

Remember you the reseller is the end user as far as Matrix is concerned not your customers so taking that information and using it to promote your own plans could end up with a few missleading things as you've already found out.

No those are for shared accounts Brangwyn NOT reseller accounts!

This is really frustrating now I have 2 clients that are extremely angry with me they have just moved over 20 of their sites and found out that they cant give their domains ftp access. This has wasted my time and my clients time

I don't think I'd assume that just becuase vortech offered something to a shared customer that the same would apply to a reseller's customer personally.

I totally understand your frustration, and I really don't want to sound like a pooper, buts it's your responsbility to ensure that what your advertising to your cusomters is actually something your able to physically offer.

I will point out to someone that the FTP accounts is listed on Vortech's hosting site, however, I also know that in some ways Vortech direct customers may get features that others don't(ie resellers). It is partially the way hsphere works.

Despite everything I dont really mind, vortech is good with most other areas of its service this is compensation enough I guess.

Now I start the hard part: how can I work around this, is there some (free)script/program that could do this? Or would I just have to tell my clients (as this is a neccesity of hosting package) to find another host?

I don't know off hand of any still existing free script in ASP to do this, I remember one long ago, but can not find a trace or it, nor remember the name now.
