New SPAM Blocking Measures
We have now taken further steps to block SPAM traveling through our mail system by implementing an RBL (Realtime Blackhole List). The RBL we are using is DSBL.
Also, no one will be able to send mail from a domain that is not hosted on our network. Any mail sent from a non-local domain address after the 10th email will result in the sending address being blocked. What this means is that no large amounts of bulk mail with a non-local from address will go through past the 10th try.
The DSBL will reject all email coming in from a host that is known to be an open SMTP relay.
We feel that the measures we have taken will improve our mail-server performance and reduce the amount of SPAM received in your email.
We have also removed the 5MB email limit as we see no reason to limit this now.
