Webmail Work Around.
http://www.e-mailanywhere.com/
http://www.mail2web.com We are having issues with webmail. We know. We are working on upgrades, and until then this is going to be persist. You can use the above 2 links to check your mail for free, and without sign up until all issues are resolved here at Vortech. These links are just suggestions, I cannot guarantee they will or will not work for each of you. I'm just trying to offer something to help until we can solve these issues. |

Or RoundCube? http://roundcube.net/
Just wondering... I have used Horde because my old college switched to that program my last year there. It worked pretty well. Not sure about RoundCube though, I haven't ever played with it. |

We think the issues with the current webmail server is now remedied. We are currently watching it very carefully, but our level 3 admins think they may have nailed it down. Stay tuned.....

Note, there is also nothing stopping you installing your own webmail software for customers to use, I've done this in the past to give customers a work around for when Vortech's webmail was down. |

I think I joined in 04, at the end of my college career (sniff sniff). I don't have too many clients, mostly just friends and family and they don't use the webmail, so I probably wouldn't be installing anything extra, no need. Heck I probably don't need to be reseller but I like the flexibility and potential for future business it offers ![]() Thanks for the input. ![]() |

Hello,
We were able to convert the MySQL database tables Webmail uses from INNODB to MyISAM. This greatly increased the efficiency of the type of queries webmail does to it's database, and brought the load to near 0 on the server. I suspect we have seen the end of webmail issues, or at least this particular one that has been causing problems for the last few weeks. |
