Unix1 has dropped it's root drive (OS). We are in the process of restoring the drive from an image. We don't anticipate that it will be down for very long, but of course I cannot guarantee anything. The drive containing all your data appears to be fine. We will post updates as they are available.

ETA is about 30 minutes for the restore and maybe 90 minutes for the full config to be up.

Guys,

We need ETA; saying to our clients, soon doesn’t cut it. We need ETA’s, if you recognize what the problem is; you should be able to say when it is estimated to be resolved. I also understand you don’t want to guarantee but we need something more then “soon”, when the server has been down for most of the day!

David gave an ETA ~20minutes, and it was pretty accurate too

You must have short days .. total downtime was what about 2.5 hours or so?

relax,

if you take a bit of time to look thru the forums, you will see that the open and honest responses in the forums here are just about the best you will find out there.

This is a shared system, there will be outages and downtimes. If you cant deal with them once in a while, shared systems are not for you.

Yeah, hate to say this, but eta's can be pointless if they aren't close to accurate. I have major companies all the time never give me an eta. Would I like one? Yeah, but like I said above. They say ASAP or working 24/7 to resolve. As long as there are no 3 day fiasco's like before then great!
