Nt23

Hello,

We are having some problems with NT23 at the moment. We are moving the machine back into the office to troubleshoot. At first glance it looks like hardware failure, most likely hardrive. If it is a hardrive there is no need to worry since we keep full backups.

Best Regards,

Aaron Summers

Hello,

We're almost done with the NT23 fixes. It appears that some bad CPU fans were the culprit. We're fixing the fans and mirroring the hard drive over to a new drive. Estimated downtime should be one hour.

Hmmm, experience tells me if the CPU fans died, so did the CPU's. That could explain for extended downtime.

The CPUs are okay. The fans were dying, buy they hadn't died off completely just yet. We've got the box up on the network now, and are making some other internal adjustments. The box will need to be brought down again shortly to move it to another area. We'll update this thread to let you know.

We were under the impression that we had replaced them, as well. Looks like we missed one.

We've decided to move the box at 12:30AM Eastern time tonight. The move downtime should not exceed 30 minutes.

OK guys and gals.

I postponed moving NT23 back into the DataCenter untill the nightly NT restarts were completed. I didnt want a server not comming up while I was in transit. I am taking it offline now and to the DataCenter. I estimate it should be back online about 3:25 - 3:30 US EST.
