Could we get some sort of time frame please? I have customers that aren't too happy and I would like to be able to give them some sort of "when".

The techs are working on the issue and I honestly believe it is more important to get the server up and working than to be posting here every few minutes. No one is hiding anything, it is just a fact that on the weekends there are a limited number of techs on duty as Brad has already stated.
There is no way to give an ETA when we have no idea how long the restore will take. By all means, tell your customers the truth, that there was a hardware issue. Unfortunately, things break. Servers, cars and anything else that has moving parts. If someone can not understand that, then I guess they live in a world with no machines.

As I have said in the past I have ALWAYS been vortechs biggest advocate.... hearing that from someone in the NOC makes all the difference. No one was asking for blow by blow, but I have so much confidence in y'alls ability that I am always optimistic about recovery time... thanks for responding ![]() Bob |

Webpixie, like I said earlier (and so did Brad) there are a limited number of techs working on the weekends. This means that the techs that are indeed working are working on the server and do not have time to post because they want to have the server up and running as soon as possible. I assure you that they wish the server was fixed now too because that would mean everyone would stop complaining about the server being down and they could work on less stressful things. It is much easier for posts to be made in a frequent manner when there are more techs working so that it does not take them away from working on the server.

After the CPanel install and restore the system had issues booting back up. They are about done with the reinstall "again" because cpanel messed the first one up. I should get an update here in just a bit.

Any thing to do with cpanel you should submit a ticket. it might take a little time to fix.
