Well, I did not find the file in the location you mentioned. I had changed my url to https://cp.mydomain.com:8443/. I used the webshell to go to the admin domain, and it has only a bunch of images like the logo, picher etc. So when I change the base image directory, all the icons disappear. If it is there in the upgrade, I am looking forward to it. By the way, where else can I get the gzip file? Meantime, I can start to create my identity. Should I take this off this thread? |

Did you try https://cp.mydomain.com:8443/IMAGES/IMAGES.tar.gz as well?
It works for me anyway just tried it using my service domain and also works using hsphere.cc ie https://cp.hsphere.cc:8443/IMAGES/IMAGES.tar.gz |

Just my $.02
I'm not a programmer. Don't even totally understand H-Sphere, yet. But I think it is really cool that a company asks for the input of it's customers. I'm have been in many business situations when I've been given no say whatsoever. I know I'm not qualified to rate or debug anything but I still enjoyed poking around knowing that they would take the time to read whatever I said. Also, it is only good business practice to have your biggest or/and oldest clients on board when you get ready for a change. Not common but good. Again just my $.02

Note that since the release of 2.3 there has not been a *single* patch released for previous versions! .. if they do the same with 2.4 then theres a strong change we've already seen the last of the 2.3 patches. As others have already said, Vortech aren't getting us to do their work here, if you've read most of the posts you'll have seen Brad say on several occasions that Matt and others have been actively testing it, I really think you've missinterpreted their intent, they aren't asking us to sign-off on implementation, though if we do find something major they haven't then they sure as heck won't implement it ... so to me thats a good thing, not something to complain about. Does anyone actually read what psoft post in their update sections?

Trouble Ticket System: - TT Statistics moved to the separate TT Statistics report - TT sticky tags to assign tickets permanently to a support representative - Possibility to read signed and encrypted messages in the TT system Domain Registration: - Domain can be marked as "expired" in domain registration info - System e-mail notification on domain registration renewal - Registrar SDK - Possibility to send copies of custom registrar emails. E.Manager: - Additional sanity checks on logical servers using the same IP; - Possibility to delete PGSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL logical servers when databases or users don't exist - Additional check of existing service IP when reseller's server alias is created - Interface re-design: a) On/Off icons next to logical server names in the list of logical servers b) Physical servers with unavailable info marked with "!" H-Sphere XML API: - A servlet to test AXIS services - PGP and Migration services as parts of H-Sphere CP - Connection to Windows server using SOAP protocol via TCP Miscellaneous: - Ability to export/import plans via XML - Ability to pause, stop and start Cron Jobs via web interface - VPS IPs removed from the list of shared IPs - VPS plan wizard added to the list of plan wizards - Missing Inherited Shared SSL feature added from 2.3.2 - Additional check to ensure that system accounts on different admin plans have correct access permissions to menu links - Stability improvements in H-Sphere script-runner including better support for FreeBSD 4.9 - MSSQLManager added to recreation type list - PhpBB updated to v.2.0.7 - Awstats 6.0. And thats only from the first 2.4 RC, pleanty more changes/fixes/updates since then have been made, sure much of that isn't neccesarrily visible to resellers, but you can't say theres not been some big changes in this release, not to mention all the behind the scenes code cleanup that have been conducted. HSphere can be changed to run on another port if it's on a dedicated machine like it is here at vortech by changing some settings, perhaps Brad will look into that for you if you really think it's such an issue (should be able to run it on both ports I beleive so those of use who don't need it to be on 80/443 don't have to change). I'll agree with you there is a definite lack of "polish" in almost all psoft releases, probably not something thats going to change overnight either .. though in all fairness to Igor and the rest of the psoft crew it has actually gotten a lot better in the 2 years I've been using HSphere. Let me set one thing straight right now, you will not come on this forum and talk down to us and other customer like they are trash. Your posts have been removed. Next time I will just ban you. I don't like this behavior and will not stand for it. We are not here to force you to help, test or even be a customer. We only asked ALL of our customers to lend a hand to help find any bugs with in 2.4. If you don't want to help I could care less because there are others here that will help. Heck, we could have just went on Psoft's word that 2 patches ago were good and upgraded. We did not do that for the sake of you guys. We kept testing and working to find bugs and report them. We were one of the first and few to really start pushing H-SPhere back in the day. Hint, we have seen and found more than our fair share of bugs for Psoft. As for remarks as to how stable Vortech is and why DNS server IPs are being changed has absolutely nothing to do with Hsphere. Our systems and network are very stable and the IP shift is because we are dropping Level3 IPs (the 65.57.xxx.xxx IPs are their IPs) and we must give them back when we drop on or about 8/2004. Why are we dropping them in the first place? Since no one ASKED I will go ahead and tell you. It's so we can bring in 9 more providers & Level(3) with Internap. If you consider that unstable then I would say you have issues. Anyone that replied to them I went ahead and cleaned up the post a bit to keep it on "topic" not because you did any thing wrong and I left some that I thought became helpful. Now can we keep this on topic please, this is not a post to bash Psoft, H-Sphere or us. This is to help find bugs that ether psoft or we have not seen. We try our best but there will also be some bugs, look at Microsoft. ![]()

I think most resellers who've been here a while are eager and excited for 2.4. Thanks again for giving us a chance to play with the test setup.
Brangwyn, what were your impressions of the xml api? |

domain registrar setup area?
Hi:
The domain registrar setup area, it's not functional neither editable in the h-sphere reseller testing CP. I hope when h-sphere 2.4 goes live it work, as expected. One of the new features in V. 2.4 is the option to setup any reseller registrar program of our choice, such as Enom, etc to process our clients domain purchases. The original version of H-sphere 2.4 has that feature, we will like to see it working!!! |

Great! Super! First time when I signed up here I had asked if there was an API. Finally it is here There is one concern though: security. Am not quite familiar with SOAP yet. The question is: if my site was accessed as a https://myresellerdomain.com, then will any SOAP transactions be conducted within that ssl session and travel encrypted? |
