Passwords probs again

The last time I tried to login to test this version, the password/login were not accepted.

A quick ticket to Tech Support solved the problem.

Today, I tried again and cannot login using the passwords from Brad.

Now... I am wondering if THIS is in fact a bug with this new version and we will constantly have to open a trouble ticket in order to be able to login?

I sent this post over to Psoft so they can see everyones issues. Maybe they can take some of what is here to apply it to H-Sphere.

Question Where is Site Studio?

With the HSphere 2.4 - What Happens to Site Studio? That was main factor in choosing Matrix, to have option to allow those I market to a way to maintain their own site, and they can call me if need help, lower cost of my time to assist them.

Also, I was told that HSphere 2.4 would have a method to allow to match up or create logins that could be maintained on sites that use site studio without requesting a support ticket to have someone at Vortech/Matrix do that process - Advise?

Also, Updates to any Frontpage capabilities would be appreciated - possibly just one server for now - for any upgrades to FP2003 that may be occurring among your resellers.

Nothing's changing with SiteStudio, perhaps a version bump and some more templates... As for additional logins... would suggest you check the official changelogs at psoft.net, I don't recall seeing anything about SiteStudio additional logins.

I'm not aware of any availbe updates to FP. We're running Win2000, not Win2003, since Win2003 is still very unstable in a hosting environment (Unless your strictly using ASP.NET)

The latest Front Page Server Extensions from MS are for FP 2002. No new server-side stuff was added for FP2003 Client Program.

Don't use any server extensions, but have had no problem using FP2003 for site maintenance and development.

Well there still seems to be bugs in 2.4 Traffic Loader is not working in 2.4 so we would not be able to track any bandwidth and you would not be able to charge you're clients. So we will now have to hold off till patch3 or that at least fix that.

I don't know if anything was done since the last time I looked. The pages look much sleeker now. I am looking at it on Windows XP. Only other comment is that the Shared SSL is not turned on. Is there a chance that it will be turned on? Or is it reserved for a particular type of reseller?

Definitely an improvement.

Oh another thing: will it be possible to automate the copy of the images to the base image directory? I came across a post that mentioned that we need to make a request for the images and then we can replace them with our own.

Thanks

As far as I know thats actually automated currently, you can always download the current images from:

http://cp.yourdomain.com:8080/IMAGES/IMAGES.tar.gz

I'd expect this will continue after the upgrade as well.

Well they fixed the only big bug now the Traffic Loader. It was just a missing file it seems. So we might still be good for the next week or so.
