Can someone clarify something about the UI for me? I currently have mine setup as a variation on the "icky brown skin" (except mine uses various shades of blue). Is my interface suddenly going to change how it looks during the upgrade, or will it be up to me to do any re-skinning I deem fit?

(other than that, still playing...)

Oh - and to the person who mentioned FTP accounts on Windows - not gonna happen unfortunately. Some of you might remember my earlier outburst on this - I have now accepted my lot in life and calmed down!
This may have something to do with the client I was afraid of telling about it taking it very well...

i remember that logic. It's never easy to tell a customer that something is going to disappear when he uses it a lot or if he wants it very much!

The people having problems with UI, first new design, after clicking old design, ..
I'm pretty 99% sure that it is because we are all playing together with the same test CP. So if i turn on brown style and you new style then i see new design. You see?

I agree that PSoft has a big potential with HSphere but they don't see it i think.
Anyway it looks good and i'm going to start liking HSphere

Firstly thanks to everyone who has spent so much time going over 2.4 - I haven't had that much time, hence reading your reviews has been a great help.

Secondly, I like HSphere - wouldn't be here using it, and offering it to clients, if I didn't. It's evolving.... yes it may not be 'perfect' but looking on the 'plus' side it does seem to be better than the present version.

Last but not least Thanks Brad, Craig and the team for the opportunity of letting us 'play around' with it - it's appreciated.

In the earlier thread about the patch 1 release, some one noted that webshell 4.0 which is part of the 2.4 release contained the ability to password protect windows files and directoriest. Might be able to work something akin to sub-ftp. http://www.psoft.net/HSdocumentation...res.html#v.4.0

On the good news side, looks like we can use scripted custom error pages now.

Certainly off topic, but that's an option of your email client, not of the server.

Thanks

Thanks for the response. I understand the mail client config.

A company that I am migrating accounts from has the option on thier email management CP to leave mail on server. I thought this may be included in the 2.4 version.

Sorry for an off topic question.

everything is really great especially the plue skin. everything worked nice with me. what about bort 8080? is it still required to access the cp? hope not. what about the password? are we still forced to use combination of cap-small & numpers? all of my customers hate it.

In the windows plan creation wizard the (?) icons next to "Mail Relay" and "AntiSpam" don't work. There could be others, I didn't look very far.

We don't use the "standered" mail system in H-Sphere thats why the anti-spam, mail relay stuff does not work. If we used psofts setup our mail servers would die.

I just wanted to say thanks to the Vortech team for letting us try things out. I appreciate it. I don't want to rail on things too hard. I too, overall, like Hsphere, and I'm willing to stick with it.

A possible Hsphere option that's available on another CP wouldn't be off topic. FWIW, there's a "Leave messages on Server" option in web mail. It's dimmed out on the regular mailbox I checked, and there's some reference to external accounts so it may be possible for forwarded accounts through the web mail interface.

Wouldn't that be becuase other than actually deleting the email, theres nothing in web mail you can actually do, other than leave it on the server
