NT15 is down. We've got a tech downtown at the data center working to bring it back up ASAP. We will keep you updated as we go.

NT15's hard drive is on its way to the great big datacentre in the sky. A replacement is being configured but I don't think we're looking at less than two more hours.

NT15 has a new system drives in a RAID-1 configuration and a new 36 gig system drive. I am finishing up initial hsphere install and windows configuration before taking the machine back to the datacenter to copy over the user data. We have user data from May 3 before the network upgrade anything changes after that are lost. Any SSL certs on NT15 will need to be reinstalled, so please submit a trouble ticket with the cert attached.

Still copying files? ouch, still using floppies to copy between machines huh

Though in all seriousness, why is it taking so long? .. thats at least 6+ hours since Dave said the file copy was happening.

All the backups go onto some big JBOD array you've got dont they? can you not add one of the drives from NT15 into the JBOD and copy straight to it from the array and then place it back into the machine? (I'm probably grasping at straws, but if thats do-able you might want to look into it for future full server restores).

Though even on a 100Mb link and assuming no more than 20% utilisation, you still should have been able to move around 70GB of data in 6 hours.

its a fairly full RAID5 configuration. The GB link is working well.. Already 50% done. (up from the 10% or 5% we were half an hour ago)

Yea thats what I thought as well. Not sure if the temp fix we have right now for the routing could of been messing with it trying to move all of that.. But the GIGe is doing better already.. It should not be much longer now.. Once its moved over we just set permissions and its all good again. The raid will be nice as well. We are going to start doing all the system drives for NT now on raid1 for now on.
