yes, if any of your users who use the POP3 login method for @mail have any custom folders that they store mail in (even sent and drafts) they will not be visible once @mail is switched to IMAP only.

You can easily see what the changes will be by logging into @mail using POP3, then using IMAP to see the differences.

It's also not possible to move messages from any folder back to the INBOX while in POP3 mode - @mail has this disabled.

there is really not much difference between POP3 and IMAP login for @mail, other than to say that if your @mail users are currently using the POP3 login method and have custom folders, or store messages in any folder other than their INBOX, they will need to download those messages.

That's it - once the switch is made (or if they start using IMAP by themselves) they can recreate those custom folders.

Just bumping this post and letting everyone know that the change has been implemented. Any logins to @mail will be down via IMAP only.

Are POP3 saved messages from webmail now gone? I have a user who was a little slow with the move and looking for messages.

Please can you confirm that the "30-day" email storage restriction has been removed and we can now organise our outlook express IMAP folders and retain specific mails for as long as we deem fit. At least it counts towards our disk usage.
