CDONTS problem

is there anything wrong with CDONTS currently ? i got a customr who sayz he is facing problems with sending mails using CDONTS .

first determine which windows server they're on. Each windows box uses it's built in SMTP server to send script mail.

You could also try your own mail script on that server to see if it's actually having trouble. If so, then send in a TT to have it looked at.

You might want to see if you can convincne them to use another component as well, CDONTS seems to be pretty unreliable I've shifted most of my stuff to use ASPEmail instead which seems to be working when CDONTS hasn't on some servers.

Also make sure they are using localhost as the server too.

you don't need to specify the mail server for CDONTS - you only need localhost for the components that require you to specify mail servers.

I should have made it clearer I guess , I was refering to "after" changing from CDONTS to make sure your using localhost.
