New Multi-lingual Software Increases Customer Service on Business Websites


Houston, Texas, November 3, 2003--- A new Multi-lingual software program that speaks ten languages is now available to companies worldwide. The new product, called VSRLive!, has been released by Web Effect Solutions at the beginning of this month with the intention of improving customer service on business websites.

Raymond Fosdick, President of Web Effect Solutions, a Houston-based software and web design company, said the new software closes the gap in communication between customers who speak a different language and businesses. “Better ability to communicate with customers will result in better service and in turn will result in higher revenues,” Fosdick said. “The product speaks for itself—literally.”

VSRLive! provides ten different languages through an instant message customer service support prompt. As the customer types a question on-line in their native language, it is translated into the main language of what the representative speaks, and vice versa. This multi-lingual instant messaging will allow companies to communicate with clients and customers without the language barrier.

Web Effect Solutions has released the software for sale to national and international businesses worldwide. More languages and updates will be implemented with future releases.

Sounds pretty kool if nothing else

At one point in time Sony Entertainment were talking about putting something similar into some of their online games, I think they must have dropped that idea though as I don't recall hearing anything more about it.

The translations are machine translations so they start out at about 85% accurate. They are about as accurate as a normally educated bilingual individual. Now we have also included the phrase engine. The phrase engine has the ability to learn and adapt to technical terminology, dialects and slang. This efectively brings your accuracy rating to 90 to 95%.

We actually let people know that this software is not for technical translations. We always tell our clients that when the translation is critical to have a professional look it over. This software was designed for completion of sale and help desk activities. It is for the time when you do not have time or you do not want to spend the money on an outside source. It is great when time counts.

If you are interested I will be more than happy to refer our clients to you when they need your services over our app.

So I take it that no one is interested in becoming a reseller.

I would find it too risky to use such program to communicate with my customers. 85% might be a pretty good rate for a machine translation, but technical issues can already be pretty hard to understand when both parties speak the same language, so with that kind of accuracy it would lenghten the time it takes to solve most tough problems imo.

It may take you a little longer to successfully communicate with your customers but at least you would be able to communicate with them. Their is no reason to alienate customers just because they do not speak your language.

Think about it, the software is an aid not a cure all.

I thought for sure that someone would be interested in earning up to $300.00 in one sell with residuals from the monthly income
