looking for cheap streaming media host

I do a lot of musician and dj sites in chicago area. The http streaming is ok, but I my clients want true streaming for larger video files. I am looking for a low cost host company to set up one unix account that I could use to do true real audio/video streaming since we can't so that here.

Someone has had to do this at some point i'm sure. If anyone has had any luck or knows a cheap host, please advise. (I know about ci host for $10 with 10gig txfr and 500 mb space but they are my last resort)

Anyone else wish we could get one streaming server here too?

In my opinion, Real Networks missed the boat for streaming, considering their high cost for setting up a server. I personally still like Windows Media for this very reason, and I've had very good performance just with the HTTP streaming - even for video. Now, it would be nice to be able to do variable bit rate streaming, so I'm with you there.
