Looks good! This is going to be a big help. Only one problem now. After copying the certificates and hitting Submit at the bottom of the screen, I get the following message:

Failed to create Reseller SSL

Ok please hold OFF on this. We seem to of just found a bug. If you do this now it may disable your CP account till we can have Psoft fix it.

Sorry about this. It looks like it was working fine but guess not

I will see if i can get Psoft to work this out ASAP.

Hmmm. Scratch that. My control panel WAS working, but about an hour ago it just stopped, right in the middle of running a report (I wasn't doing anything else with the SSL features). Now, the Matrix CP loads but my reseller CP doesn't. Could this be because I tried SSL last night? I'm putting in a ticket also but I just wanted to reiterate to everyone else DON'T try the reseller's SSL yet. =)

Apparently the problem in my case is pretty serious. I've been waiting for six hours for my control panel to come back up, and all I've heard from Matrix (five hours ago) is that an email has been sent to PSoft. Since then I haven't been able to get Matrix to respond to tickets, live support, etc.

I have a customer who is waiting (impatiently) to have his accout set up and I can't do ANYTHING about it.

I would appreciate someone from Matrix (if you're reading this) to follow up with PSoft making sure they understand this is a priority, and then get in touch with me to let me know when PSoft says this will be done. I need something to tell my new customer, not to mention the others who have been without their control panels all day.

My Vortech ticket number is: 14193

Thanks,

Adam

Last night I figured out that the root of the problem is that the botched SSL install for my control panel caused the DNS servers to begin to return a new IP address (one that won't even ping!) for cp.mydomain.com. When I put a hosts entry on my computer pointing cp.mydomain.com back to the old IP address, I can get the control panel to come up just fine. Admin passed that information on to PSoft last night in order to help them solve the problem faster, but as of now, my customers have been unable to get into the CP for over 24 hours. I hope PSoft gets their act together soon.

CP Problems

I am also seeing odd behavior with my CP. I too botched the SSL upload, canceled, then did it again correctly. The IP increased by one number, but I did not lose access to the CP at any time.

I have read a few things in Psoft docs that state:

1. Once your CP is set to use https:// you will no longer have access to it using http://. I have access to both.

When I try checking on my certificate by clicking the lock Icon, it shows as being issued to cp.hsphere.cc instead of my actual CP domain. No warnings are issued despite this, but I do not think this is normal.

2. SSL CP settings will not take place until the admin restarts CP services. Does this restart happen daily or just when necessary?

I wonder if 2 will affect 1??? I'm on nt7.

Any news on this topic? I am a new reseller but I will not start seriously before I can secure the Control Panel and Credit Card information of my customers. So I'm sitting here ready to get going...

I am using SSL on my CP and it works 100%. If you have any questions getting it working, post them and I'll help out.

Hope this helps!

Should be working fine now. mranderson has got his all working. There will be some downtime due to your CP's IP change but other then that it should be ok now.

Sorry I jumped into this one late, does this mean that the CP and signups will be secured?

Thanks!
