So, how much longer before we have a stable email system again. I still get "busy, try again later" error messages. Less often than the past 2 weeks, but those were inexistent 9 months ago.

I'm getting the password errors too. Not nearly as bad as before, but I get one every few hours or so.

Yep - my customers are starting to complain to me again.

Any word on the problem or estimates on whenit will be fixed.

Folks, hold onto your butts again - lets hope it's a short term problem this time.

My customers are not very happy at all. Actually, they are asking me how much trouble it would be to move their accounts to a new company.

This has been a consistent problem for over the past month and it is ridiculous.

It would be nice to actually go through an entire day without the password popups.

Will e-mail ever be stable again? I have problems with this everyday, and spend most of my day receving calls from unhappy customers with e-mail problems.

No PW Pop Ups Seems OK Now

I haven't had any PW pop up problems now for several days. What I did have over the weekende was TCP IP errors which resulting in my having to do send mail for every message. It would not let me send more than one message at a time. It would send one message then give a pop up error that the TCP-IP connection was reset by the host.

All seems to be working fine now though. I just tested it.

My clients are still getting the MS Outlook pop up ..... not as bad as last week - but it should not happen at all.

Hum, I am using MS Outlook 2000 and just ran it again.

Here are some things to check.

1. Most people think that if they are using Outlook they don't need Outlook Express so they delete it to recover the disk space. Same way with folks who don't use IE. You Can't do that.

Outlook, IE, and Outlook Express can all be used on the same machine. In other words you can use all three or use only one and not the other two. But you cannot delete them because they used shared files. If IE or Outlook has been uninstalled, re-install them.

2. Make sure to check to see they they are not using Server Authentication Required.

3. In Internet Explorer select tools, Internet Options, Programs and make sure Outlook is selected for the Email Program.

I don't think this is an Outlook problem. I still get perhaps a couple of pop-ups a day using Apple's mail client. The window just tells me that the server has rejected my password. Usually the next request in a few minutes goes through fine.

It is for sure not an MS Outlook problem. I am checking 4 email accounts in MS Outlook, Tw hosted on Vortech mail server and two on a diferent host. I only get the pop-up for both of the email accounts hosted on Vortech.

OE is not deleted
Server authentication is not checked
MS Outlook is the default email program

I think it is safe to say it is NOT Outlook causing the issue. But it is an issue none the less!

Have not seen a Vortech reply here regarding this. Is there a thread that addresses how to resolve this issue. This morning I just received a group of complaints regarding not being able to send mail from accounts. Waiting to hear back from customers for details to open individual support calls, but if there is a "fix" posted somewhere here would save some headaches.

Does not appear to be a configuration issue on the customer end, since I doubt all my end customers changed their email programs all at once.

Thanks

---- Hmm ... think I found it at:

Will have to weed through all the posts to figure this out (argh!)
