Close to Signing Up

Hey All,

Just wanted to make a quick post here and say that I am real close to signing up. I only hesitate, since in the past, I have controlled every aspect of my hosting by being the controller, however, looking to branch out as the demand to be your own host taken off, and many people want the FTP functions and such. So, they can do it themselves.

This service seems great, however, how can you offer such great prices? Other sites I have checked are offering service for a lot more, while not seeming to give as much.

Second, Do I need the PayPal account in order to sign up initially? My company is in the last step of registering for the PayPal Account.

Third, is the interface easy to learn? (This is pointed towards current customers of Matrixresellers)

Other than that, this seems like a great company to do business with. As I look to broaden my companies horizon's by adding more services, I want to ensure I am getting quality.

Thank You,
Craig J. Melhorn

Hi Craig,

Well, we have always tried to keep our pricing fair. It also helps that we own, maintain and operate all of our own equipment in-house rather than rent servers and equipment from another company.

"Second, Do I need the PayPal account in order to sign up initially? My company is in the last step of registering for the PayPal Account."

If you are planning on using Paypal as a payment method for your own hosting clients you can set this up later if you like.
We do not accpet paypal as a method of payment for YOUR reseller plan though.

"Third, is the interface easy to learn? (This is pointed towards current customers of Matrixresellers)"

I'm sure others will chime in with their input, but I feel that anyone who takes the time to read some of the documentation we have available will have a very easy time with H_SPhere.

I would recommend them in this order.

You'll get more than enough control of things with H-Sphere, anything you can't do yourself the admins are usually happy to do it for you if you submit a trouble ticket.

H-Sphere is actually a pretty solid and feature packed control panel that once you start using I think you'll find easy to use.

I manage my own webservers as well and am also used to "doing it myself" but I've found H-Sphere to be more than adequate.

Domain Extensions

What tld extensions do you allow?

I just need to know.. since .com, .biz, and .net are mine already, however, currently residing in active servers. I would like to keep the same domain name, however, do not feel the .org tld would be appropriate for the hosting portion of my website.

Thank You,
Craig Melhorn

Howdy All:

Just signed up.... so, I am going to venture forward. I figured out my own questions. Though, through Network Solutions, I am having trouble finding where they register the Name Servers. I have done it in the past, with an old domain, but do not see it in the control panel anywhere. If someone has an idea, please let me know.

Thanks,
Craig

OK.. Network Solutions is my registrat, but I am not currently hosting with them... would this be why I can not create the DNS Servers?

Yes I am a reseller with Matrix and I'm more than happy with the service around here too I actually run a mixture of VPS own Servers and Reseller accounts (can never have too much redudancy), I can definately say Matrix has been great to be with.

Brangwyn,

That is great to know. I gotta tell ya, last night I was working on this stuff, and it is a little overwhelming at first.

Was not sure where I was going, or what I was doing. The tutorials are pretty good, however, the flash one for Network Solutions appears to need to be updated.

Other than that, I think I am getting somewhere now. I am currently waiting (if I did it right) for the DNS Resolutions to resolve.

Thanks again,

I'll admit, also, that when I first looked at HSphere, I was a little overwhelmed also. Don't get me wrong, it's got more control than almost anything out there, but to have '3' separate control panels just to get your first domain up, that seems like it could have been pared down a bit.

All in all, though, with the help of the tutorials and the fine people here on the forum (and Matrix support), after a few short days you'll be a pro.

Good luck, cjmelhorn

Craig, don't forget that disk space and SQL database spaces are based on allocation.

EX: if you are on a Cypher plan that offers 1500MB and you set up a plan that offers 1000MB and then sign up 2 users on that plan are you going to be billed for 500Mb of disk space. Alot of customers seem to miss that.
