Switching from H-Sphere to CPanel and back!!

Please look at the demos here ( http://www.matrixreseller.com/plans/cpanel.php ) for our new reseller control panel, CPanel before signing up. Please don't waste our time signing up and then saying I like H-Sphere better.

If you do this and you are already a customer under H-Sphere you will not be refunded due to the setup time on the CPanel account. This will be considered a set up fee and not returned.

In one week we have had over 10 users signup for CPanel then want to switch back and its only getting out of control.

Thank you.

Can we add the reasons why we decided to cancel the Cpanel account to this thread?

This may help others who are thinking of jumping to Cpanel make an informed choice and cut down on the amount of Cpanel cancelations.

I guess you can if I see it as usless then guess I can just delete it. If this is about the reason why you canceled you have the same issue in H-Sphere so I see it as kind of point less.

Wow Brad, please take a breath and lighten up. We are not your enemy we are your customers.

If I was going to post harmful information I would not have asked your permission.

There are several reasons why people may think that Cpanel is a better option than Hsphere but linking to cpanel.net's documentation doesn't show the limitations of your setup.

I won't post about the bugs that were found because I am sure you have already taken the time to repair them.

One of the main reasons that I can not use it is due to anonymity.
The server is named cpanel.nocspeed.com which shows all Vortech information for the nocspeed.com domain.

Why you are unwilling change the information to something without the Vortechhosting.com branding I have no Idea. It seems very simple to me.

Cpanel just upgraded us to version6 yesterday. Why couldn't you just ask for your namserver to be changed? We have been doing this for evryone that requests it. This has to be done manually. And could have probably solved your problem.

The demo does not provide all the functionalities of the real thing (complains about no pgp, no webmail access)

There is a big problem with the way Cpanel adds domain pointers. It first checks if the domain has registred your nameservers. In some foreign registries you first need to setup the namservers before being able to add them.

EDIT : Oh, and the link to the WHM demo is wrong

I switched from Hsphere to cpanel and love it!

Because I only host my own clients (I'm a web designer), I didn't need all the fluff of Hsphere like signup links, billing, ticket support, etc.

I got Vortech to create my nameservers (dns.visioninsites.com, dns2.visioninsites.com) as mentioned by Alan.

So, if all you need is to provide hosting for your clients (not the public), then I would recommend cpanel...much easier. Of course, it's for unix plans only. Who would want windows? (Just kidding!)

One word of caution though, if you signup for cpanel, be careful of your username. It will be added to each hosting package you create. So if your username is "sexyhost", your hosting packages will be called "sexyhost_packagename1", "sexyhost_packagename2", etc. and will be visible by your clients in their control panels.

No problem, I saw the thread you were on at wht. I can't imagine that was any fun.

Sorry to have wasted Mikes time over the weekend but this Cpanel set up won't work for me. I am sure you will have lot's of happy customers like sangnat that will enjoy it.

Sorry about resurrecting this old thread, but I noticed the same thing about the lack of nocspeed.com being anonymous.

I have my own nameservers, but it is still showing nocspeed.com in the clients control panel. In my clients cpanel it says "Your Server: cpanel.nocspeed.com". Can we name the server to match our name servers. The suggestion to change the information on the nocspeed.com whois is another good alternative. It's currently showing the following:
