Now when checking from Outlook, the password screen pops up and won't let you past it.
And the "CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 10 seconds " error is back in Nagios Last note from Vortech: Posted On: 11 Dec 2006 11:54 PM Our Senior Admins are looking into the issue. Very soon a permanent fix to this will be done. We are closely monitoring the server. We are sorry for the inconvinience caused. Let us know if, we could be of any assistance. |

Multiple Email
Is anyone else having the issue of having multiple emails in the inbox? I didnt see anyone saying that. Thats the problem im having.
I have a Sprint wireless card and my outgoing email server is sprint and i can send fine. If anyone is having trouble with sending you can usually switch the outgoing server to your ISP and it will send fine. Matt Long |

Yes - have been having multiple emails in inbox as well as messages getting stuck in outbox all day - they are working on it and hopefully fixed soon.

Ditto - 7 emails for every one sent most of the day today I've had some pretty annoyed customers today on that mailserver.

Today, one of my customers called, telling me that he was not able to recieve any mails. He uses mail11. Is there anyone who lives such problems with mail11 today? Regards, Selcuk |

My clients will be rolling in soon, I was sure hoping this would have been resolved by now (actually 15 hours ago). This is taking waaay too long and no one is telling us anything. The last response to my ticket was last night around 11:00PM CST.

About 1 hour ago support responded my ticket:
"We are currently having issues on mail11, and it is an issue that we plan to have resolved in the immediate future." |

I got the same message just now, funny that a senior admin was working on it 8 hours ago and 14 hours ago they would have it fixed "shortly". I feel like are out in the dark.

Because I know i'm going to hear about it, I sent an email this morning to my customers saying that the problem is still there and is being worked on.
I hope they just don't switch hosts on me. Does anyone know technically what the problem is or might be? Even though my customers may not understand, they'd like to hear something. |

my new strategy
There should be a solution about this mail server problem. I'm living such mail problems for months. And some of my customers have changed their hosting company because of this. How can I mention about %99 uptime guarantee? This should be my new slogan :
"%50-%50 uptime mail servers - your realistic hosting partner" |

Receiving is also not really working now. So completely down pretty much. And I don't think they even know what the problem is.

Sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better, so hopefully this is the fix we've been waiting for. Unfortunately, it's during the business day. Fingers crossed that it'll be working this morning!

I quested their response to me:
Clayton, 8 hours ago a senior tech was looking into it. Is he still looking into it or is a new person looking into it and what are they looking at. The problem has been going on for about 20 hours now. and was told: We currently have another senior tech and I both monitoring it, we are watching the mail move throughout the server, so we can try and pin-point the problem. |

Temp fixes?
Indeed, I'm having a hard time explaining to my customer base as well. Sadly, it seems to be the same customers over and over while others remain inscathed.
Their outgoing attempts are sending up to 10 copies of the same email to their customers when and if they can send at all. Often they cant send because the outgoing server is not responding. |
