Mail11 - 9.13.06

My customers on mail11 are having problems. They can receive mail, but sending out is the problem. Unfortunately, this has been an ongoing problem for the last few weeks. Mail gets stuck in the outbox, but the recipient receives the mail multiple times.
Is this the same problem you're having, Samgold?

I did put in a trouble ticket this morning, and the techs must be working on it. The problem is that this issue hasn't been permanently fixed although it's been troublesome for the past few weeks.

You can check the server status and see that the SMPT of mail11 is critical.

Sounds exactly like a problem that has been cropping up in the last few weeks. In my case it is not happening to everyone and it is not happening consistently.

How do you move customer around from server to server? I'd like to do that when something like this happens.

Yes, mail11 is having those SMTP problems....seems like going on 4 weeks now!

chungmike - let me just say - I wouldn't suggest it because you don't get to pick the server. I went from one problematic server to another (without realizing it). What a nightmare.

to answer your question - you turn off mail and then turn it back on. the biggest problem is that you will loose all the emails on the server, you have to rebuild all the accounts and wait for propogation to take place.

and after I did all that, I'm back in the same situation I was in before.

Its hard to give an estimate, because we have no idea how many people are trying to connect. We only know that the available connections are being used. However, we will see mail activity decline as the business day comes to a close around the country.

SMTP was down on that server earlier, so its trying to catch up. It should be working again shortly.

Rheide, I got the same support response you got at 5:07pm.

As of this post, mail11 is still not sending SMTP. I've had something in my outbox sitting there since 4pm. Right now it's 7:18pm.

I just checked the server status page, and mail11 is still showing critical.

Same problem here, in one hour, it sent my email 28 times but never left the outbox. It seems like there is a bigger problem then what they think.

Now the server status says OK but still not sending messages.
