Network issues

Just FYI, we are aware of the outages and are working to fix everything right now. I'm going to direct everyone here for updates as they become available.

What happened? or do you not know yet?

I'm just looking for something I can tell the president of my company. He is quite computer savy and will probably be in a very bad mood.

Right, so I guess we're leaving. Hope the network is back up soon so we can grab our database and get out of here. Guess everyone is getting free hosting this month, eh fellas?

I am EXTREMELY upset. Why is your phone support ALSO directing people to websites when there may be network problems causing problems with ALL your websites?

I still have some VERY angry people down my throat asking about why they couldn't access anything for SO long!

Imagine I'm calling, and the phone is redirecting me to a site that doesn't work, and NO ONE is available to answer! At least a recording saying that there is a network outage that you are aware of could help!!!

What great customer service!

I'll be doing research to possibly follow Electricfox!!!!

The forum never went down. There was 195 people on here. It just depended on where you are and how your connected whether it appeared down or not.

Because when 26,000 people call to ask the same question, we can't answer all of the calls. I'm very sorry your upset. We were too. In 6 years this has happened only a few times. Were not happy about it either.

I had friends and colleagues checking the forum from various parts of teh Caribbean and 2 states in the US. Ten people in total. Quite a coincidence that none of us could get it eh?

Now I have my biggest client, one of the biggest property dev't companies in my country threatening to leave. So much for growth in my fledgeling business!

I too am very upset. A recording would have been nice at least. For over an hour your phone number was a fast busy signal and when it finally did ring, just announcement directing people to this forum that could not be accessed or nagios.hsphere.cc which could not be accessed either.

Very disappointed in the lack of communication.

Guys SERVERS and NETWORKS go down I too am havin a bad day the reason the phone are redirecting you here is so techs can do there job and not answer the phones. but and idea of when thing will be back a 100% would be nice.

From where I'm sitting it is 100%. I'm off-network.

Again, I'm sorry everyones upset about the phone. We don't have 10,000 people here to man the phones. Everyone is calling to ask why stuff is down. You know that, I know that. send a ticket, check the forum, tickets and support emails worked fine during the outage. everyone who submitted a ticket received a prompt reply. We cannot answer every phone call when thousands of people are calling.

If that is the case (and it very well may be), why did you not post anything about the outage until about 24 minutes ago?

I'm always pleased about the way Vortech does its job. This time I would suggest to have another way of communicating its users about a so serious problem (like this was). Maybe, like some were suggesting, the solution would be to have an offline forum outside of vortech. That would be a great improvement to the quality of service and would give all of us, something to tell our clients to avoid innecesary violence with them.
