DNS Issues
I'm having some issues with DNS.
It looks like when the account is created it creates 2 built-in A records. *.mydomain.com and mydomain.com Both point to the shared IP address the account was created on. I assume the * is a wildcard basically allowing "anything".mydomain.com to hit the webserver. This is not working, not even www.mydomain.com nor mydomain.com resolves. I then create a custom www record and the www.mydomain.com works but still nothing else hits the server. Not even the root, mydomain.com resolves. What gives? I try and create a custom mydomain.com entry but of course the entry already exists... |

With the built-in A records www.domain.com and domain.com should point to the corresponding web folder.
Other subdomains will point to HSphere default page until you define a subdomain. Are you sure DNS changes has fully propagated? |

Turns out there were some issues with the nameservers and the DNS zone for my domain.
Support has fixed the problem. And very fast I must say! ![]() |
