Yeah, 3 hours is a pretty good wait for a server doing things on its own. It seems to have been dropping out quite a bit lately, and embarassed me a few times trying to show a site to potiential clients who for some reason aren't talking to me right now.
Timing is everything... mine is the worst I guess.
(EDIT) I don't mean to sound quite so down. (Not as down as NT29 was anyway
) I know, that's what you get for running on shared servers and all that. The site I was showing is actually the one I'm remodeling over to MS SQL from Access with two domains pointing to the MS SQL server... The idea being that if I publish the alternate link to my users and they actually read it and bookmark it, that they can switch and continue using the site... until the SQL server crashes... Partial redundancy, but better than none I suppose.
Anyway, I appreciate the forum post alerting us of the outage.
